Diana Minotti Fine Art, Inc. formerly D.M.G. Fine Art, Inc. is a woman owned New York State corporation established in 1993. As an experienced professional Consultant with over 20 years of experience in the field serving Architects, Interior Designers, Landscape Designers and Developers. As a liason to the Corporate, Hospitality and Institutional sectors, the Consultants provide a variety of fine art services. Diana Minotti Fine Art, Inc. has proven to be successful with clients primarily within the NYC tri-state area as well as in Northern Florida, although projects have extended as far as Boston, Philadelphia, Atlanta and Las Vegas.

Depending on the client and project, involvement of a Consultant has begun as early as preconstruction phases or as late as after move in. Completion of a particular project can span from weeks, to months to years. The Consultant provides assistance in implementing fine art programs consisting of: acquisition, appraisal, restoration and curatorial services. Acting as a general contractor for all fine art services the company also provides assistance with regards to framing, storage, delivery and installation.
 

As a fine art consulting firm, Diana Minotti Fine Art, Inc. does not own fine art inventory, nor does it represent any particular artist. Each project constitutes a new criterion. Based on the clients' needs and interests, artwork is preselected for consideration. Artwork is purchased on a per project basis without conflict of interest. As a contractual firm, all personnel involved in services such as: artistry, framing, delivery, installation, appraisal and restoration are hand selected for their specialty in order to facilitate the project correctly.
 

All Fair Market and Replacement Value Appraisal documents for Resale, Insurance, or IRS purposes are prepared in adherance to the principles and practices of the American Society of Appraisers.

All conservation and restoration methods are performed within the guidelines provided by the Association for Preservation Technology International.

Fine Art Acquisition Program

Interview client to review the scope of project
Inspect site for atmosphere, lighting, and scale
Mark floor plans for placement
Plan theme(s) and research ideas
Generate a budget demonstrating quantity and quality necessary
Selection and placement process of:
~ posters (all subject matter)
~ prints (monoprints, etchings, engravings, serigraphs)
~ works on paper (watercolor, acrylic, graphite, pastel)
~ paintings (acrylic and oil existing or commissioned)
~ crafts (tile, mosaics, glass, ceramics, and basketry)
~ sculpture (bronze, all metals, acrylic, wood and stone from pedestal to monumental)
~ tapestries (antique and contemporary weavings and quilts)
~ banners (silkscreened or appliqued)
~ decorative glass and mirror (stained, beveled and etched; 2D and 3D)
~ murals (trompe l'oeil and faux finishes)
Negotiate commission contract(s) with artists through an approval process of drawings and maquettes to scale for site specific works of art
Conservation framing and mounting in all molding colors and styles with woods and metals to match interior finishes
Fine art handling, delivery, and security installation

Inspection, explanation, and recommendation of restoration
Sub-contract the proper restorer in area of specialty

 

Fine Art Inventory and Appraisal Services

Inspection of artwork at site
Attach corporate property tags or bar code system
Photograph, document and research all works
Produce an inventory and appraisal document of Fair Market and Replacement Values for resale, insurance, or charitable contribution purposes

 

Fine Art Deaccession Program

Inventory and Appraisal of collection
Negotiate sales of artworks for resale, auction, or contribution
Arrange for fine art packing, crating, handling, and removal of artwork off premises to buyers or proper storage facilities

 

Fine Art Curatorial Services

Curate rotating exhibits, special events, or lend-lease programs
Assist in the planning of receptions and fund raising events for unveiling of new works or donor program to purchase new works
Panelist or speaker for seminars and workshops
Give slide presentations or walking tours for special interest groups
Develop and implement a maintenance program for fine art collection
Provide image usage and negotiate fees with artists for advertising campaigns or other promotional materials
