Ms. Minotti is an alumna of the College of New Rochelle. In 1986, she received her BFA with a major in Fine Art and minor in Advertising. In 1996, Minotti completed New York University's Certificate Program, "Appraisal Studies in Fine and Decorative Arts".
Since 1991, Ms. Minotti has been consulting and appraising fine art for corporate, institutional and hospitality clientele. She successfully assists Architects, Interior Designers and Facility Managers with a variety of fine art services. Projects consist of acquisition, inventory, appraisal, conservation, restoration, liquidation, exhibition, display and installation. Her company, Diana Minotti Fine Art, Inc. formerly D.M.G. Fine Art, Inc. has been in business since 1993! Every project has completely different criteria, budget and timeframe consisting of all types of artwork such as: posters, limited edition prints, work on paper, paintings, sculpture, crafts and tapestries. Works can be decorative, collectible and/or investment spanning from antique to contemporary. Ms. Minotti has always found teaching to be a rewarding and an inspirational experience. Since 1994 she has instructed arts and crafts classes for children at the Pelham Art Center and the Music Conservatory of Westchester both of Westchester County, NY. As of 1995 she was an Adjunct Professor at the College of New Rochelle's School of New Resources teaching adults, "The Foundations of Drawing and Painting." She has been invited by F.I.T.'s Graduate Department to speak to students on field related topics in preparation for their thesis and/or senior projects. A worthwhile endeavor is lecturing on art appreciation topics to the geriatric population in Bronx and Westchester nursing homes, adult homes and senior centers. She has worked with all age groups as well as the physical and mentally handicapped. Each month is a new topic to explore, research and report. "It keeps me sharp to constantly learn new things or freshen my memory!" She not only can bring the art world to you, and offers group tours by bringing you into the art world! In 1997, Ms. Minotti received an "Official Sightseeing Tour Guide," license by the City of New York's Department of Consumer Affairs. In 1998 Diana was accepted as a Member of GANYC (Guide's Association of New York City). The College of New Rochelle invited Ms. Minotti to instruct a course, "Exploring the Arts in New York City." The touring idea came into play when a friend bought a limousine. She developed custom designed luxury guided limousine tours to view fine art, decorative art, antiques, restored houses and landmark building as well as sculpture park excursions! "It's the way to do it, get paid and sip champagne while discussing the arts!" Always giving a little bit back…Diana was Chairperson of the Board of Directors at the College of New Rochelle's Castle Gallery. Leading a group of twenty dedicated professionals from all fields of expertise is channeled into sub-committees: Exhibition, Education, Nomination and Fundraising. She has worked in all areas but admits the most fun has been guest appearing on NYC local radio station, WVOX to promote the galleries upcoming exhibitions and cultural events! |
