Where the art world comes to you! Program Programs provide education as well as entertainment. The lecture series is a cognitive program for moderate and high level functioning adults. Discussions are encouraged to stimulate participation and interaction. Lecturer prompts its viewers with questions relating to the artist, period, medium, style, technique and message. Explore various peoples, places and traditions by viewing the cultures and eras of the past and present via slide presentations of great artisans from antiquities, traditional masters, modern masters and contemporary artists of today. Subject matter consists of portraiture, genre scenes, landscapes, seascapes, architecture, still-life and wildlife. An emphasis is placed on historic preservation and landmark architecture as well as parks, memorials, parades, ceremonies and festivals. It's not just art, it's culture and history too! |
